मृत्योस्तु दुहिता राजन्‌ सुनीथा नाम मानसी । प्रख्याता त्रिषु लोकेषु यासौ वेनमजीजनत्‌,राजन! मृत्युकी एक मानसिक कन्या थी, जिसका नाम था सुनीथा। जो अपने रूप और गुणके लिये तीनों लोकोंमें विख्यात थी। उसीने वेनको जन्म दिया था

mṛtyos tu duhitā rājan sunīthā nāma mānasī | prakhyātā triṣu lokeṣu yāsau venam ajījanat ||

ഭീഷ്മൻ പറഞ്ഞു—രാജാവേ, മരണത്തിനൊരു മാനസപുത്രി ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അവളുടെ പേര് സുനീഥ. രൂപഗുണങ്ങളാൽ അവൾ ത്രിലോകങ്ങളിലും പ്രസിദ്ധയായിരുന്നു; അവളാണ് വേനനെ പ്രസവിച്ചത്.
