श्री: सम्भूता यतो देवी पत्नी धर्मस्य धीमत: । उस समय भगवान्‌ विष्णुके ललाटसे एक सुवर्णमय कमल प्रकट हुआ, जिससे बुद्धिमान्‌ धर्मकी पत्नी श्रीदेवीका प्रादुर्भाव हुआ

śrīḥ sambhūtā yato devī patnī dharmasya dhīmataḥ |

ഭീഷ്മൻ പറഞ്ഞു—അപ്പോൾ ഭഗവാൻ വിഷ്ണുവിന്റെ ലലാടത്തിൽ നിന്ന് ഒരു സ്വർണമയ പദ്മം പ്രത്യക്ഷപ്പെട്ടു; അതിൽ നിന്നുതന്നെ ധീമാനായ ധർമ്മന്റെ പത്നിയായ ശ്രീദേവി പ്രാദുർഭവിച്ചു.
