मन्वन्तरेषु सर्वेषु विषमा जायते मही । उज्जहार ततो वैन्य: शिलाजालान् समन्तत:
manvantareṣu sarveṣu viṣamā jāyate mahī | ujjahāra tato vainyaḥ śilājālān samantataḥ ||
എല്ലാ മന്വന്തരങ്ങളിലും ഭൂമി അസമമായി മാറുന്നു. അതുകൊണ്ട് വൈന്യൻ (രാജാവ് പൃഥു) ചുറ്റുമെങ്ങും പടർന്നിരുന്ന ശിലാജാലങ്ങൾ—വഴി തടയുന്ന പാറബന്ധങ്ങൾ—പിഴുതെറിഞ്ഞു നീക്കി।
