Even in urgent or sacred matters, action should proceed with order, readiness, and respect. The king’s approach to Bhīṣma—an elder and source of dharma—requires proper preparation and coordinated conduct, reflecting disciplined kingship and reverence.
Vaiśampāyana narrates that Śaineya (Sātyaki) is instructed to go to the palace and check whether King Yudhiṣṭhira is ready to depart to see Bhīṣma, setting up the forthcoming encounter where Bhīṣma will impart teachings on dharma.
