Prāyaścitta-vidhāna: Tapas, Dāna, Vrata, and Proportional Expiation (प्रायश्चित्तविधानम्)
एतत् ते कथितं सर्व यथावृत्तं युधिष्ठिर । समासेन महद्धयेतच्छोतव्यं भरतर्षभ,भरतभूषण युधिष्ठिर! यह सब वृत्तान्त तुम्हें यथावत् रूपसे थोड़ेमें बताया गया। यह महत्त्वपूर्ण प्रसंग सबको सुनना चाहिये
etat te kathitaṃ sarvaṃ yathāvṛttaṃ yudhiṣṭhira | samāsena mahad hy etac chrotavyaṃ bharatarṣabha ||
യുധിഷ്ഠിരാ, സംഭവിച്ചതെല്ലാം ഞാൻ നിനക്കു യഥാവിധി സംക്ഷേപമായി പറഞ്ഞു. ഭരതവൃഷഭാ, ഇത് മഹത്തും ഗൗരവമുള്ള വൃത്താന്തമാണ്—ഇത് ശ്രവിക്കപ്പെടേണ്ടതാണ്।
