अध्याय ३५१ — उञ्छवृत्ति-व्रतसिद्धेः मानुषस्य परमगतिः
Sūrya–Nāga Dialogue on the Perfected Gleaner-Ascetic
तमेव शास्त्रकर्तार: प्रवदन्ति मनीषिण: । निष्ठां नारायणमृषिं नान्यो5स्तीति वचो मम
tam eva śāstrakartāraḥ pravadanti manīṣiṇaḥ | niṣṭhāṃ nārāyaṇam ṛṣiṃ nānyo 'stīti vaco mama ||
വൈശമ്പായനൻ പറഞ്ഞു—മനീഷികൾ അവനെയേ ശാസ്ത്രങ്ങളുടെ കർത്താവെന്ന് പ്രസ്താവിക്കുന്നു. പരമ നിഷ്ഠ നാരായണ ഋഷിയേ; അവനോടു തുല്യൻ മറ്റാരുമില്ല—ഇത് എന്റെ വചനം.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
All śāstric instruction is ultimately grounded in, and culminates in, Nārāyaṇa; the verse asserts a single highest authority and final aim for dharma and spiritual knowledge.
In Vaiśampāyana’s narration within Śānti Parva’s didactic discourse, he emphasizes to the listener that the sages recognize Nārāyaṇa as the supreme source and culmination of scriptural teaching, leaving no rival principle as equal.
