धर्मप्रतिष्ठाहेतोश्व मनुं स्वारोचिषं ततः । अध्यापयामास तदा लोकानां हितकाम्यया,फिर इस धर्मकी प्रतिष्ठाके लिये समस्त लोकोंके हितकी कामनासे उन्होंने स्वारोचिषमनुको उस समय इस धर्मका उपदेश किया

Transliteration

dharmapratiṣṭhāhetoś ca manuṃ svārociṣaṃ tataḥ | adhyāpayāmāsa tadā lokānāṃ hitakāmyayā ||

Translation

വൈശമ്പായനൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ധർമ്മത്തെ ദൃഢമായി സ്ഥാപിക്കുവാൻ, സർവ്വലോകങ്ങളുടെ ക്ഷേമം ആഗ്രഹിച്ച്, അന്നേരം അദ്ദേഹം സ്വാരോചിഷ മനുവിന് ഈ ധർമ്മം ഉപദേശിച്ചു।
