Atithi-satkāra and the Consolation of Wise Counsel (अतिथिसत्कारः प्रज्ञानवचनस्य च पराश्वासनम्)
अथ रुद्रविघातार्थमिषीकां नर उद्धरन्
atha rudra-vighātārtham iṣīkāṃ nara uddharan
അപ്പോൾ രുദ്രന്റെ തടസ്സം നീക്കുവാൻ ആ മനുഷ്യൻ ഒരു ഞാങ്ങണ (reed) പിഴുതെടുത്തു।
तामिन्द्र उवाच गच्छ नहुषस्त्वया वाच्योथ<पूर्वेण मामृषियुक्तेन यानेन त्वमधिरूढ
Even when confronted by forces beyond ordinary human control, one should respond with alertness and purposeful action; resolve and right intention are shown through immediate, practical effort rather than panic.
A man perceives a hindrance associated with Rudra and, to counter it, uproots a reed—an improvised implement—signaling readiness to meet the obstruction and proceed.
