न च पश्याम पुरुष॑ तत्तेजोहतदर्शना: । ततो नः प्रादुरभवद्‌ विज्ञानं देवयोगजम्‌

na ca paśyāma puruṣaṁ tat tejo-hata-darśanāḥ | tato naḥ prādurabhavad vijñānaṁ deva-yoga-jam ||

ഭീഷ്മൻ പറഞ്ഞു—“ആ പുരുഷനെ ഞങ്ങൾക്കു കാണാൻ കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല; അവന്റെ തേജസ് ഞങ്ങളുടെ ദൃഷ്ടിയെ മൂടിക്കളഞ്ഞിരുന്നു. അപ്പോൾ ഞങ്ങളുടെ ഉള്ളിൽ ദേവയോഗജന്യമായ ഒരു നിർമ്മല ബോധം ഉദിച്ചു—ദിവ്യജ്ഞാനം.”
