शैलादस्मान्महीं गन्तुं कांक्षितं नो महामुने । वेदाननेकधा कर्तु यदि ते रुचितं प्रभो,“महामुने! अब हम इस पर्वतसे पृथ्वीपर जाना चाहते हैं। वेदोंके अनेक विभाग करके उनका प्रचार करना ही हमारी इस यात्राका उद्देश्य है। प्रभो! यदि आपको यह रुचिकर जान पड़े तो हमें जानेकी आज्ञा दें!

śailād asmān mahīṁ gantuṁ kāṅkṣitaṁ no mahāmune | vedān anekadhā kartuṁ yadi te rucitaṁ prabho ||

“മഹാമുനേ! ഇനി ഞങ്ങൾ ഈ പർവതത്തിൽ നിന്ന് ഭൂമിയിലേക്കു പോകാൻ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നു. വേദങ്ങളെ പല വിഭാഗങ്ങളാക്കി ക്രമപ്പെടുത്തി അവ പ്രചരിപ്പിക്കുകയെന്നതാണ് ഞങ്ങളുടെ യാത്രയുടെ ലക്ഷ്യം. പ്രഭോ! ഇത് നിങ്ങൾക്കു രുചികരമെങ്കിൽ, ഞങ്ങൾക്ക് പുറപ്പെടാൻ അനുമതി നൽകുക.”
