Educational Q&A

One should cultivate and firmly hold the ‘lamp’ of dharma-informed discernment. When life presents moral darkness—confusion, temptation, ignorance—only sustained ethical understanding can guide one safely.

Vyāsa delivers an instructive metaphor: entering darkness requires a lamp. Here the lamp symbolizes a gradually strengthened inner light—dharma and buddhi—urging the listener to prepare inwardly before facing the world’s obscurity.
