सुवर्णष्ठीविनोपाख्यानम्

पर्वत उवाच भविष्यत्येष ते कामो न त्वायुष्मान् भविष्यति । देवराजाभि भूत्यर्थ संकल्पो होष ते हृदि,पर्वतने कहा--राजन्! तुम्हारा यह मनोरथ पूर्ण होगा, परंतु वह पुत्र दीर्घायु नहीं हो सकेगा; क्योंकि देवराज इन्द्रको पराजित करनेके लिये तुम्हारे हृदयमें यह संकल्प उठा है
parvata uvāca bhaviṣyaty eṣa te kāmo na tv āyuṣmān bhaviṣyati | devarājābhibhūty-arthaṃ saṅkalpo hoṣa te hṛdi ||
പർവതൻ പറഞ്ഞു— “രാജാവേ! നിന്റെ ഈ ആഗ്രഹം നിറവേറും; എന്നാൽ ആ പുത്രൻ ദീർഘായുസ്സുള്ളവൻ ആകുകയില്ല. കാരണം ദേവരാജൻ ഇന്ദ്രനെ കീഴടക്കണമെന്ന സംकल्पം നിന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിൽ ഉദിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.”
