अवादयतू तत्र वीणां मध्ये विश्वावसु: स्वयम्‌ । सर्वभूतान्यमन्यन्त मम वादयतीत्ययम्‌,“उनके उस सुवर्णमय यूपमें जो सोनेका चषाल (घेरा) बना था, उसके ऊपर छ: हजार देवगन्धर्व नृत्य किया करते थे। वहाँ साक्षात्‌ विश्वावसु बीचमें बैठकर सात स्वरोंके अनुसार वीणा बजाया करते थे। उस समय सब प्राणी यही समझते थे कि ये मेरे ही आगे बाजा बजा रहे हैं

avādayatū tatra vīṇāṃ madhye viśvāvasuḥ svayam | sarvabhūtāny amanyanta mama vādayatīty ayam ||

വായു പറഞ്ഞു— അവിടെ മദ്ധ്യത്തിൽ സ്വയം വിശ്വാവസു വീണ വായിച്ചു; അപ്പോൾ സർവ്വഭൂതങ്ങളും ‘ഇവൻ എനിക്കുവേണ്ടി തന്നെയാണ് വായിക്കുന്നത്’ എന്നു ഹൃദയത്തിൽ കരുതി.
