Educational Q&A

Ethical instruction is strengthened by precedent: Bhishma signals that the point under discussion is best understood through an authoritative ancient example, framed as a teacher–student style dialogue between Narada and Galava.

Bhishma introduces a new illustrative episode. He announces that knowledgeable people recount an old itihasa—specifically, a conversation between the divine sage Narada and the sage Galava—to illuminate the present topic.
