Śreyas-nirdeśa (Discerning the Superior Good): Nārada–Gālava Saṃvāda
कृतानां फलमप्राप्तं कार्याणां कर्मसज्ञिनाम्
kṛtānāṃ phalam aprāptaṃ kāryāṇāṃ karmasaṃjñinām
ഭീഷ്മൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഇതിനകം ചെയ്ത കർമ്മങ്ങളുടെ ഫലം ലഭിക്കാതെ പോകുന്നു; ‘കർമ്മം’ എന്നു യഥാർത്ഥത്തിൽ വിളിക്കപ്പെടുന്ന പ്രവർത്തികളുടെ ഫലവും അനുഷ്ഠാനഫലമായി സാക്ഷാത്കരിക്കാതെ അപ്രാപ്തമായിത്തന്നെ നിലനിൽക്കുന്നു।
