Viṣṇor Māhātmya and Indriya-saṃyama (विष्णोर्माहात्म्यं तथा इन्द्रियसंयमः)
स तु बद्धाञज्जलिं सत्यमयाचद्धरिण: पुनः । सत्येन स परिष्वज्य संदिष्टो गम्पतामिति,सत्य सावित्रीदेवीकी ओर हाथ जोड़कर खड़ा था। इतनेहीमें उस हरिणने पुनः अपनी आहुति देनेके लिये याचना की। सत्यने मृगको हृदयसे लगा लिया और बड़े प्यारसे कहा --तुम यहाँसे चले जाओ'
sa tu baddhāñjaliṃ satyam ayācad dhariṇaḥ punaḥ | satyena sa pariṣvajya saṃdiṣṭo gampatām iti ||
സത്യൻ കൈകൂപ്പി ഭക്തിയോടെ നിന്നുകൊണ്ട് വീണ്ടും ആ മാൻകുട്ടിയെ അപേക്ഷിച്ചു. എന്നാൽ മാൻ വീണ്ടും തന്നെ ആഹുതിയായി അർപ്പിക്കണമെന്നു യാചിച്ചു. അപ്പോൾ സത്യൻ അതിനെ ഹൃദയത്തോടെ ചേർത്തുപിടിച്ച് സ്നേഹത്തോടെ പറഞ്ഞു— “ഇവിടെ നിന്ന് പോകുക.”
