जाजले तीर्थमात्मैव मा सम देशातिथिभर्भव । एतानीदृशकान्‌ धर्मानाचरन्निह जाजले

Transliteration

jājale tīrtham ātmaiva mā sama deśātithibhar bhava | etānīdṛśakān dharmān ācarann iha jājale ||

Translation

തുലാധാരൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഹേ ജാജലി! നിന്റെ സ്വന്തം ആത്മാവാണ് നിന്റെ തീർത്ഥം. അതിഥിയോടു അനാസക്തനായി ‘എല്ലാ ദേശങ്ങളും ആളുകളും ഒരുപോലെ’ എന്നപോലെ പെരുമാറരുത്. ഇത്തരത്തിലുള്ള ധർമ്മങ്ങൾ—പ്രത്യേകിച്ച് അതിഥിസത്കാരവും സേവയും—ആചരിച്ചാൽ, ഹേ ജാജലി, ഇവിടെ തന്നെയെ ശുദ്ധി ലഭിക്കുന്നു.
