धर्ममेवान्ववर्तन्त न हिंसन्ति परस्परम् । अनुकूलाश्न कार्येषु गुरुवृद्धोपसेविन:,वे धर्मका ही आचरण करते थे। एक-दूसरेकी हिंसा नहीं करते थे। सब कार्योंमें परस्पर अनुकूल रहते और गुरुजनों तथा बड़े-बूढ़ोंकी सेवामें दत्तचित्त थे
śakra uvāca | dharmam evānvavartanta na hiṃsanti parasparam | anukūlāś ca kāryeṣu guruvṛddhopasevinaḥ ||
ശക്രൻ പറഞ്ഞു—അവർ ധർമ്മം മാത്രമേ അനുസരിച്ചിരുന്നുള്ളൂ; പരസ്പരം ഹിംസിച്ചില്ല. എല്ലാ കാര്യങ്ങളിലും തമ്മിൽ അനുകൂലമായി പെരുമാറി, ഗുരുക്കന്മാരുടെയും വൃദ്ധന്മാരുടെയും സേവയിൽ നിഷ്ഠരായിരുന്നു।
