बलीन्द्रसंवादः — Kāla, Anityatā, and the Limits of Agency

Mahābhārata 12.217

प्रकाशं भगवानेतदृषिर्नातयणो5मृतम्‌ । भूतानामनुकम्पार्थ जगाद जगतो गति:,संसारको शरण देनेवाले ऋषिश्रेष्ठ भगवान्‌ नारायणने जीवोंपर दया करनेके लिये ही इस अमृतमय ज्ञानको प्रकाशित किया

prakāśaṃ bhagavān etad ṛṣir nārāyaṇo 'mṛtam | bhūtānām anukampārthaṃ jagāda jagato gatiḥ ||

ലോകത്തിന്റെ ആശ്രയവും ഗതിയും ആയ ഋഷിശ്രേഷ്ഠൻ ഭഗവാൻ നാരായണൻ സർവ്വഭൂതങ്ങളോടുള്ള അനുകമ്പകൊണ്ട് ഈ അമൃതമയ ജ്ഞാനം പ്രകാശിപ്പിച്ച് ഉപദേശിച്ചു।
