भूगुरुवाच वायोग्गतिमहं ब्रह्मन् कथयिष्यामि तेडनघ । प्राणिनामनिलो देहान् यथा चेष्टयते बली
bhṛgur uvāca vāyor gatiṃ ahaṃ brahman kathayiṣyāmi te 'n-agha | prāṇinām anilo dehān yathā ceṣṭayate balī ||
ഭൃഗു പറഞ്ഞു—“ബ്രഹ്മൻ, നിർപാപ മഹർഷേ! വായുവിന്റെ ഗതിയും പ്രവർത്തനരീതിയും ഞാൻ നിനക്കു വിശദീകരിക്കും. ബലവാനായ അനിലൻ (പ്രാണവായു) ജീവികളുടെ ദേഹങ്ങളെ എങ്ങനെ ചലനശീലമാക്കുന്നു എന്നു ഞാൻ വർണ്ണിക്കുന്നു.”
