अहो सम्यक् शुकेनोक्तं सर्वतः परिमुच्यता । प्रतिष्ठता महारण्यं जनकस्य निवेशनात्,“अहा! शुकदेव मुनिने जनकके राजमहलसे विशाल वनकी ओर जाते समय सब ओरसे बन्धनमुक्त हो क्या ही अच्छा कहा था?
aho samyak śukenoktaṃ sarvataḥ parimucyatā | pratiṣṭhatā mahāraṇyaṃ janakasya niveśanāt ||
ഭീഷ്മൻ പറഞ്ഞു—അഹോ! ശുകദേവൻ എത്ര സമ്യകമായി പറഞ്ഞു—‘എല്ലാ ദിക്കുകളിലും നിന്നു ബന്ധനമുക്തനാകുക.’ ജനകന്റെ രാജനിവാസത്തിൽ നിന്ന് മഹാവനത്തിലേക്ക് പുറപ്പെടുമ്പോൾ അവന്റെ വാക്കുകൾ സത്യപഥം പിടിച്ചു—അത് സ്ഥലമാറ്റമല്ല; സർവദിക്കിലും ആസക്തി ശമിപ്പിക്കുന്ന വൈരാഗ്യമാണ്।
