निर्वेदोपदेशः (Nirveda-Upadeśa) — Maṅki’s Dispassion and the Limits of Wealth-Seeking
ते तमूचुर्महाराज राजप्रेष्यास्तदा द्विजम् । त्वरस्व तूर्णमागच्छ राजा त्वां द्रष्टमिच्छति,महाराज! राजाके उन सेवकोंने उस समय उस ब्राह्मणसे कहा--'ब्रह्मन! जल्दी कीजिये। शीघ्र आइये। महाराज आपसे मिलना चाहते हैं
te tam ūcur mahārāja rājapreṣyās tadā dvijam | tvarasva tūrṇam āgaccha rājā tvāṁ draṣṭum icchati ||
അപ്പോൾ, മഹാരാജാ, രാജദൂതന്മാർ ആ ബ്രാഹ്മണനോട് പറഞ്ഞു—“ബ്രാഹ്മണാ! വേഗം വരിക; രാജാവ് നിന്നെ കാണാൻ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നു.”
भीष्म उवाच
The verse highlights the ethical seriousness of royal summons and the expectation of prompt, responsible response—especially when a learned person is called, since counsel and conduct around kingship directly affect dharma and public welfare.
Bhīṣma narrates that the king’s messengers approach a brahmin and urgently instruct him to come at once because the king wants to meet him.
