On Gratitude and Friendship Ethics
ततः स भगवान् रुद्रो महर्षिजनसंस्तुत:,उस समय महर्षिगण रुद्रदेवकी भूरि-भूरि प्रशंसा करने लगे। तब अप्रमेयस्वरूप भगवान् रुद्रने वह तलवार लेकर एक-दूसरा चतुर्भुज रूप धारण किया जो भूतलपर खड़ा होकर भी अपने मस्तकसे सूर्यदेवका स्पर्श कर रहा था
tataḥ sa bhagavān rudro maharṣijana-saṁstutaḥ | tadā maharṣigaṇā rudradevaṁ bhūri-bhūri praśaṁsante sma | tataḥ aprameya-svarūpo bhagavān rudras tāṁ khaḍgaṁ gṛhītvā anyad caturbhujaṁ rūpaṁ dhārayāmāsa, yad bhūtale tiṣṭhann api svena mastakena sūryadevaṁ spṛśati sma |
അപ്പോൾ മഹർഷിസമൂഹം സ്തുതിച്ച ഭഗവാൻ രുദ്രൻ ആ വാൾ കൈക്കൊണ്ടു; അപ്രമേയസ്വരൂപനായി അദ്ദേഹം മറ്റൊരു ചതുര്ഭുജ രൂപം ധരിച്ചു—ഭൂമിയിൽ നിന്നിട്ടും ശിരസ്സാൽ സൂര്യനെ സ്പർശിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ തോന്നി.
