देवदेवप्रसादाच्च क्षिप्रं फलमवाप्यते । यदि मनुष्य उकताहटमें न पड़कर दृढ़ एवं प्रबल निश्चयके साथ प्रयत्न करता रहे तो देवाधिदेव भगवान् शिवके प्रसादसे शीघ्र ही मनोवांछित फल पा लेता है
devadeva-prasādāc ca kṣipraṁ phalam avāpyate |
ഭീഷ്മൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ദേവദേവന്റെ പ്രസാദത്താൽ शीഘ്രം ഫലം ലഭിക്കുന്നു. മനുഷ്യൻ മടുപ്പിലോ വിറയലിലോ വീഴാതെ, ദൃഢവും പ്രബലവുമായ നിശ്ചയത്തോടെ നിരന്തരം പരിശ്രമിച്ചാൽ, ദേവാധിദേവനായ ശിവന്റെ അനുഗ്രഹത്താൽ അവൻ വേഗത്തിൽ തന്നെ മനോവാഞ്ഛിത ഫലം പ്രാപിക്കുന്നു।
