Transliteration
hitvā tu suciraṃ bhakṣyaṃ bhojyāṃś ca tapa āsthitaḥ
Translation
ശൗനകൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ദീർഘകാലം ചർവ്യവും ഭോജ്യവും ആയ ആഹാരം ഉപേക്ഷിച്ച് അദ്ദേഹം തപസ്സിൽ പ്രവേശിച്ചു।
