यावत: प्राणिनो हन्यात्‌ तज्जातीयांस्तु तावतः । प्रमीयमानानुन्मोच्य प्राणिहा विप्रमुच्यते,प्राणियोंकी हत्या करनेवाला मनुष्य जितने प्राणियोंका वध करता है, उसी जातिके उतने ही प्राणियोंको मृत्युसे छुटकारा दिला दे अर्थात्‌ उनको मरनेके संकटसे छुड़ा दे तो वह उनकी हत्याके पापसे मुक्त हो जाता है
