अज्ञान–लोभयोः परस्परहेतुत्वम्

Mutual Causality of Ignorance and Greed

करिष्ये धर्ममेवेति तृतीयात्‌ परिमुच्यते । शुचिस्तीर्थान्यनुचरन्‌ बहुत्वात्परिमुच्यते

kariṣye dharmam eveti tṛtīyāt parimucyate | śucis tīrthāny anucaran bahutvāt parimucyate ||

“ഇന്നുമുതൽ ധർമ്മം മാത്രമേ ആചരിക്കൂ” എന്ന വ്രതം സ്വീകരിച്ചാൽ, പാപത്തിന്റെ മൂന്നാം ആവർത്തനത്തിൽ നിന്ന് മനുഷ്യൻ മോചിതനാകുന്നു. ശുചിയായി തീർത്ഥങ്ങളെ അനുഗമിച്ച് സഞ്ചരിക്കുന്നവൻ, അവയുടെ ബഹുലതയുടെ ബലത്തിൽ പല അവസരങ്ങളിൽ സമ്പാദിച്ച അനവധി പാപങ്ങളിൽ നിന്നുമും വിമുക്തനാകുന്നു।
