कुरुष्वानुग्रहं सौम्य सत्यमेतद्‌ ब्रवीमि ते । निश्चिता खलु मे बुद्धिरतिथिप्रतिपूजने

Transliteration

kuruṣvānugrahaṃ saumya satyam etad bravīmi te | niścitā khalu me buddhir atithipratipūjane ||

Translation

ഹേ സൗമ്യാ! എനിക്കു അനുകമ്പ കാണിക്കണമേ; ഞാൻ നിന്നോടു സത്യം പറയുന്നു. അതിഥിയെ യഥോചിതമായി ആദരിച്ച് പൂജിക്കണമെന്ന എന്റെ നിശ്ചയം ദൃഢമാണ്. അതുകൊണ്ട് ഇന്ന് ഞാൻ ഉത്തമമായ അതിഥി-സത്കാരം നടത്താൻ തീരുമാനിച്ചു—എന്നെയേ സ്വീകരിച്ച് എനിക്കു കൃപ കാണിക്കണമേ. ഇതാണ് ഞാൻ പറയുന്ന സത്യവചനം.
