Śaraṇāgata-Atithi-Dharma in the Kapota Narrative (कपोत-आख्यानम्—शरणागतधर्मः)
ततः समारभत् कर्म दैवं पित्रयं च भारत । आहूय देवानिन्द्रादीन् भागं भागं विधिक्रमात्,भरतनन्दन! फिर उन्होंने देवकर्म और पितृकर्म आरम्भ किया। इन्द्र आदि देवताओंका आवाहन करके उनके लिये क्रमश: विधिपूर्वक पृथक्-पृथक् भाग अर्पित किया
tataḥ samārabhat karma daivaṁ pitryaṁ ca bhārata | āhūya devān indrādīn bhāgaṁ bhāgaṁ vidhikramāt ||
ഹേ ഭാരതാ! തുടർന്ന് അദ്ദേഹം ദൈവകർമ്മവും പിതൃകർമ്മവും ആരംഭിച്ചു. ഇന്ദ്രാദി ദേവന്മാരെ ആവാഹനം ചെയ്ത്, വിധിക്രമപ്രകാരം ഓരോരുത്തർക്കും വേറേവേറെ അംശം അർപ്പിച്ചു.
