एवमुक्त्वा तु पलितस्तमर्थमुभयोहितम् । हेतुमद् ग्रहणीयं च कालापेक्षी न्यवेक्ष्य च,इस प्रकार पलित दोनोंके लिये हितकर, युक्तियुक्त और मानने योग्य बात कहकर उत्तर मिलनेके अवसरकी प्रतीक्षा करता हुआ बिलावकी ओर देखने लगा
evam uktvā tu palitas tam artham ubhayohitam | hetumad grahaṇīyaṃ ca kālāpekṣī nyavekṣya ca ||
ഇങ്ങനെ ഇരുപക്ഷത്തിനും ഹിതകരവും യുക്തിസഹവും സ്വീകരണീയവുമായ കാര്യം പറഞ്ഞ ശേഷം, യോജിച്ച സമയവും മറുപടിയും കാത്ത് പാലിതൻ പൂച്ചയിലേക്കു നോക്കി.
