माजरि व्रीडितो भूत्वा मूषिकं वाक्यमब्रवीत्,पलितने जब इस प्रकार स्पष्टरूपसे कड़ी फटकार सुनायी, तब बिलावने लज्जित होकर पुनः उस चूहेसे इस प्रकार कहा
Mārjāri vrīḍito bhūtvā mūṣikaṁ vākyam abravīt.
ഭീഷ്മൻ പറഞ്ഞു—പൂച്ചയെ പരസ്യമായി വ്യക്തമായും കഠിനമായും ശാസിച്ചപ്പോൾ അത് ലജ്ജിച്ചു. പിന്നെ മനസ്സിനെ ശമിപ്പിച്ച് വീണ്ടും ആ എലിയോട് ഇങ്ങനെ പറഞ്ഞു.
