प्रियो भवति दानेन प्रियवादेन चापर:,मन्त्रहोमजपैरन्य: कार्यार्थ प्रीयते जन: । “कोई दान देनेसे प्रिय होता है, कोई प्रिय वचन बोलनेसे प्रीतिपात्र बनता है और कोई कार्यसिद्धिके लिये मन्त्र, होम एवं जप करनेसे प्रेमका भाजन बन जाता है
priyo bhavati dānena priyavādena cāparaḥ | mantrahomajapair anyaḥ kāryārthaṁ prīyate janaḥ ||
ചിലർ ദാനത്തിലൂടെ പ്രിയരാകുന്നു; ചിലർ മധുരവചനങ്ങളാൽ സ്നേഹം നേടുന്നു. മറ്റൊരാൾ കാര്യസിദ്ധിക്കായി മന്ത്രജപം, ഹോമം, ജപം എന്നിവ നടത്തി ജനങ്ങളുടെ അനുകൂലം സമ്പാദിക്കുന്നു. ഇങ്ങനെ ഓരോരുത്തരുടെയും സ്വഭാവവും ലക്ഷ്യവും അനുസരിച്ച് ജനങ്ങൾ വ്യത്യസ്ത മാർഗങ്ങളാൽ പ്രസന്നരാകുന്നു.
