Āpad-dharma and Discernment in Livelihood (आपद्धर्मे विज्ञानबलम्)
सतं विदित्वा ब्रद्मर्षियममागतमोजसा । प्राउजलि: प्रयतो भूत्वा उपविष्टस्तपोधन:,ब्रह्मर्षि गौतमने वहाँ आये हुए यमराजको उनके तेजसे ही जान लिया। फिर वे तपोधन मुनि हाथ जोड़ संयतचित्त हो उनके पास जा बैठे
sataṁ viditvā brahmarṣiyamam āgatam ojasā | prāñjaliḥ prayato bhūtvā upaviṣṭas tapodhanaḥ ||
തപോധനനായ ബ്രഹ്മർഷി ഗൗതമൻ, അവന്റെ തേജസ്സുകൊണ്ടുതന്നെ വന്നത് യമനാണെന്ന് തിരിച്ചറിഞ്ഞു. പിന്നെ സംയതചിത്തനായി കൈകൂപ്പി അവന്റെ സമീപത്ത് ഇരുന്നു.
