त्रिवर्गमूलनिश्चयः — Determining the Roots of Dharma, Artha, and Kāma

वेदा: प्रतिष्ठा ज्योतिर्भ्यस्ततो हयशिरा: प्रभु: । ब्रह्मा पितामहस्तस्माज्जागर्ति प्रभुरव्यय:
vedāḥ pratiṣṭhā jyotirbhyaḥ tato hayaśirāḥ prabhuḥ | brahmā pitāmahastasmāj jāgarti prabhuravyayaḥ ||
വസുഹരോമൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ജ്യോതിസ്സുകളിൽ നിന്നുള്ള ദണ്ഡാധാരത്താൽ വേദങ്ങൾ ഉറച്ചുനിൽക്കുന്നു. വേദങ്ങളിൽ നിന്ന് പ്രഭു ഹയഗ്രീവൻ ഉദ്ഭവിക്കുന്നു; ഹയഗ്രീവനിൽ നിന്ന് അവ്യയനായ പ്രഭുവും പിതാമഹനുമായ ബ്രഹ്മാവും ഉദ്ഭവിക്കുന്നു. ആ ദണ്ഡം—ശാസനവും നിയന്ത്രണവും—ലഭിച്ച അദ്ദേഹം ലോകങ്ങളുടെ രക്ഷക്കും ക്രമത്തിനുമായി സദാ ജാഗരൂകനായി നിലകൊള്ളുന്നു.
