Ālasyadoṣa-nirdeśa (On the Fault of Negligence) — The Camel’s Long-Neck Exemplum
एवं दुर्बुद्धिना प्राप्तमुष्टेण निधनं तदा । आलस्यस्य क्रमात् पश्य महान्तं दोषमागतम्
evaṁ durbuddhinā prāptamuṣṭeṇa nidhanaṁ tadā | ālasyasya kramāt paśya mahāntaṁ doṣam āgatam ||
ഇങ്ങനെ ദുർബുദ്ധിയാൽ ആ ഒട്ടകത്തിന് ഒരു മുഷ്ടിമാത്രം കാരണത്താൽ തന്നെ മരണം സംഭവിച്ചു. നോക്കുക—ആലസ്യം പടിപടിയായി മഹാദോഷമായി വളർന്ന് ഒടുവിൽ നാശത്തിലേക്കെത്തിക്കുന്നു.
