अकस्मात्‌ प्रक्रिया नृगामकस्माच्चापकर्षणम्‌ । शुभाशुभे महत्त्वं च प्रकार्तु बुद्धिलाघवम्‌,“मनुष्यके उत्कर्ष और अपकर्ष (उन्नति और अवनति) अकस्मात्‌ होते हैं, किसीका भला करके बुरा करना और उसे महत्त्व देकर नीचे गिराना, यह सब ओछी बुद्धिका परिणाम है”

Transliteration

akasmāt prakriyā nṝṇām akasmāc cāpakarṣaṇam | śubhāśubhe mahattvaṃ ca prakartuṃ buddhilāghavam ||

Translation

മനുഷ്യരുടെ ഉയർച്ചയും താഴ്ചയും അപ്രതീക്ഷിതമായി സംഭവിക്കാം. ഉപകാരം ചെയ്ത് പിന്നെ അപകാരം ചെയ്യുക, ആ അപകാരത്തെ വലുതാക്കി ഒരാളെ താഴെയിറക്കുക— ഇതെല്ലാം ചെയ്യുന്നവന്റെ ചെറുതും ഉപരിതലവുമായ ബുദ്ധിയുടെ ലക്ഷണമാണ്.
