अनीकं ये विभिन्‍न्दन्ति भिन्न संस्थापयन्ति च । समानाशनपानास्ते कार्या: द्विगुणवेतना:,जो शत्रुकी सेनाको छिलन्न-भिन्न कर डालते हैं और अपनी तितर-बितर हुई सेनाको संगठित करके दृढ़तापूर्वक स्थापित करनेकी शक्ति रखते हैं, ऐसे लोगोंको राजा अपने समान ही भोजन-पानकी सुविधा देकर सम्मानित करे और उन्हें दुगुना वेतन दे

Transliteration

anīkaṃ ye vibhinndanti bhinnaṃ saṃsthāpayanti ca | samānāśanapānās te kāryā dvi-guṇa-vetanāḥ ||

Translation

ഭീഷ്മൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ശത്രുവിന്റെ വ്യൂഹം തകർക്കുകയും, സ്വന്തം സൈന്യം ചിതറിയാൽ അതിനെ വീണ്ടും ക്രമപ്പെടുത്തി ഉറപ്പോടെ നിലനിർത്തുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നവരെ രാജാവ് തനിക്കു തുല്യമായ ഭക്ഷണപാന സൗകര്യങ്ങളാൽ ആദരിക്കുകയും, ഇരട്ട വേതനം നൽകുകയും വേണം.
