ऋषिसमागमः — युधिष्ठिरस्य शोकवर्णनम्

चतुर्णाम भयं देहि काम युध्यस्व फाल्गुनम् । तब कुन्तीने चौड़ी छातीवाले कर्णसे फिर कहा--*“बेटा! तुम इच्छानुसार अर्जुनसे युद्ध करो; किंतु अन्य चार भाइयोंको अभय दे दो”
caturṇām abhayaṃ dehi kāmaṃ yudhyasva phālgunam |
അപ്പോൾ കുന്തി കർണനോട് വീണ്ടും പറഞ്ഞു— “മറ്റുള്ള നാലുപേർക്കും അഭയം നൽകുക; പിന്നെ നിന്റെ ഇഷ്ടപ്രകാരം ഫാൽഗുണൻ (അർജുനൻ)നോട് യുദ്ധം ചെയ്യുക.”
