निहनिष्यामि वा राजन्‌ स्वर्ग यास्यामि वा हतः । शल्यने कहा--राजन्‌! आज मैं रणभूमिमें पाण्डवों-सहित समस्त पांचालोंको मार डालूँगा या स्वयं ही मारा जाकर स्वर्गलोकमें जा पहुँचूँगा

Transliteration

nihaniṣyāmi vā rājan svargaṁ yāsyāmi vā hataḥ |

Translation

ശല്യൻ പറഞ്ഞു—രാജാവേ! ഇന്ന് ഞാൻ യുദ്ധഭൂമിയിൽ പാണ്ഡവരോടുകൂടെ സമസ്ത പാഞ്ചാലരെയും നിഹനിക്കും; അല്ലെങ്കിൽ ഞാൻ തന്നെ ഹതനായി സ്വർഗ്ഗലോകത്തെ പ്രാപിക്കും.
