Duryodhana’s Post-Duel Lament and Instructions (भग्नसक्थस्य विलापः)
शीघ्रं गच्छ महाबाहो पाण्डवान् परिपालय । भूयस्त्वया समेष्यामि क्षिप्रमेव जनार्दन,यह सुनकर गान्धारीसहित महाबाहु धृतराष्ट्रने केशिहन्ता केशवसे कहा--“महाबाहु जनार्दन! आप शीघ्र जाइये और पाण्डवोंकी रक्षा कीजिये। मैं पुनः शीघ्र ही आपसे मिलूँगा'

śīghraṁ gaccha mahābāho pāṇḍavān paripālaya |
bhūyas tvayā sameṣyāmi kṣipram eva janārdana ||
ഇതു കേട്ട് ഗാന്ധാരിയോടുകൂടിയ മഹാബാഹു ധൃതരാഷ്ട്രൻ കേശിഹന്താ കേശവനോടു പറഞ്ഞു— “മഹാബാഹു ജനാർദനാ! നീ വേഗം പോകുക; പാണ്ഡവരെ സംരക്ഷിക്കൂ. ഞാനും അതിവേഗം വീണ്ടും നിന്നെ കാണും.”
