द्रौणिसंकल्पितं भावमवबुद्धयत केशव: । गान्धारी और धुृतराष्ट्रको सान्त्वना दे माधव श्रीकृष्णने अश्वत्थामाके मनमें जो भीषण संकल्प हुआ था, उसका स्मरण किया

Transliteration

drauṇisaṅkalpitaṃ bhāvam avabuddhayata keśavaḥ |

Translation

കേശവൻ ദ്രോണിപുത്രന്റെ മനസ്സിൽ രൂപപ്പെട്ട ആ ഭീകരസങ്കൽപ്പം തിരിച്ചറിഞ്ഞു. ഗാന്ധാരിയെയും ധൃതരാഷ്ട്രനെയും ആശ്വസിപ്പിച്ച ശേഷം, മാധവൻ ശ്രീകൃഷ്ണൻ അശ്വത്ഥാമയുടെ ആ ഘോര പദ്ധതിയെ മനസ്സിൽ സൂക്ഷിച്ചു.
