शिखण्डिनं पुरस्कृत्य घातितस्ते पितामह: । “जो प्रतिदिन शूरवीरोंका भारी संहार मचा रहे थे, उन पितामह भीष्मका तुमने शिखण्डीको आगे रखकर वध कराया

Transliteration

śikhaṇḍinaṃ puraskṛtya ghātitas te pitāmahaḥ |

Translation

സഞ്ജയൻ പറഞ്ഞു—“ശിഖണ്ഡിയെ മുന്നിൽ നിർത്തി നീ നിന്റെ പിതാമഹനെ വധിപ്പിച്ചു. ദിനംപ്രതി വീരന്മാരുടെ മഹാസംഹാരം നടത്തിക്കൊണ്ടിരുന്ന ആ ഭീഷ്മൻ തന്നെ നിന്റെ ഈ ഉപായത്താൽ വീണു.”
