Duryodhana-vadha-pratikriyā: Harṣa, Nindā, and Kṛṣṇa’s Nīti-vyākhyā (Śalya-parva 60)
ततो लाडलमुद्यम्य भीममभ्यद्रवद् बली,ऐसा कहकर महाबली बलराम अपना हल उठाकर भीमसेनकी ओर दौड़े। उस समय अपनी भुजाएँ ऊपर उठाये हुए महात्मा बलरामजीका रूप अनेक धातुओंके कारण विचित्र शोभा पानेवाले महान् श्वेतपर्वतके समान जान पड़ता था
tato lāṅgalam udyamya bhīmam abhyadravad balī |
അപ്പോൾ മഹാബലനായ ബലരാമൻ തന്റെ ലാംഗലായുധം ഉയർത്തി ഭീമസേനന്റെ നേരെ നേരിട്ട് പാഞ്ഞു. കൈകൾ ഉയർത്തിയ മഹാത്മാവായ ബലരാമന്റെ രൂപം പല ധാതുക്കളുടെ വർണകാന്തിയാൽ വിചിത്രമായി ദീപ്തമായ മഹാശ്വേതപർവതംപോലെ തോന്നി.
