Gadāyuddhe Kṛṣṇopadeśaḥ (Kṛṣṇa’s Counsel in the Mace-Duel) — Śalya-parva 57

स सिंहनादं विननाद कौरवो निपात्य भूमौ युधि भीममोजसा । बिभेद चैवाशनितुल्यमोजसा गदानिपातेन शरीररक्षणम्‌

sa siṁhanādaṁ vinanāda kauravo nipātya bhūmau yudhi bhīmam ojasā | bibheda caivāśanitulyam ojasā gadānipātena śarīrarakṣaṇam ||

യുദ്ധഭൂമിയിൽ മഹാബലത്തോടെ ഭീമനെ നിലത്തേക്ക് വീഴ്ത്തിയ കൌരവരാജൻ ദുര്യോധനൻ സിംഹത്തെപ്പോലെ ഗർജിച്ചു. പിന്നെ ഇടിമിന്നലിനൊപ്പമുള്ള ശക്തിയോടെ വീണ ഗദാപ്രഹാരത്തിൽ ഭീമന്റെ ദൃഢമായ കവചം തകർത്തു.
