Gadāyuddhe Kṛṣṇopadeśaḥ (Kṛṣṇa’s Counsel in the Mace-Duel) — Śalya-parva 57

आविध्यत गदां राजन्‌ समुद्दिश्य सुतं तव । अताडयदू भीमसेन: पाश्चे दुर्योधनं तदा,राजन! गदाका प्रहार करनेमें कुशल भीमसेनने आपके पुत्र राजा दुर्योधनके निकट पहुँचकर गदा घुमायी और उसे मार डालनेके उद्देश्य्से उसकी पसलीमें आघात किया

āvidhyata gadāṃ rājan samuddiśya sutaṃ tava | atāḍayad bhīmasenaḥ pārśve duryodhanaṃ tadā rājan ||

സഞ്ജയൻ പറഞ്ഞു— രാജാവേ! നിന്റെ പുത്രനെ ലക്ഷ്യമാക്കി ഭീമസേനൻ ഗദ ചുഴറ്റി, അപ്പോൾ ദുര്യോധനനെ അവന്റെ പാർശ്വത്തിൽ (വിലക്കൽക്കരികെ) അടിച്ചു।
