यद् गदाभिहतो भीमो नाकम्पत पदात् पदम् | राजन्! गदाकी चोट खाकर भी जो भीमसेन एक पग भी इधर-उधर नहीं हुए, वह महान् आश्वर्यकी बात थी, जिसकी सभी सैनिकोंने भूरि-भूरि प्रशंसा की

സഞ്ജയൻ പറഞ്ഞു—രാജാവേ! ഗദാപ്രഹരം ഏറ്റിട്ടും ഭീമൻ ഒരു പടിയെങ്കിലും മാറിയില്ല. ആ ക്രൂരമായ അടിയുടെ നടുവിലും അവന്റെ അചഞ്ചല ധൈര്യം മഹാ അത്ഭുതമായിരുന്നു; ചുറ്റുമുള്ള യോദ്ധാക്കൾ അതിനെ ഭൂരി-ഭൂരിയായി പ്രശംസിച്ചു।
