बभूव श्रीमती राजन् शाण्डिल्यस्य महात्मन: । सुता धृतव्रता साध्वी नियता ब्रह्मचारिणी,“राजन! नियमपूर्वक व्रतधारण और ब्रह्मचर्यपालन करनेवाली वह तेजस्विनी साध्वी महात्मा शाण्डिल्यकी सुपुत्री थी
babhūva śrīmatī rājan śāṇḍilyasya mahātmanaḥ | sutā dhṛtavratā sādhvī niyatā brahmacāriṇī ||
“ഹേ രാജൻ! അവൾ മഹാത്മാവായ ശാണ്ഡില്യന്റെ പുത്രി—ശ്രീമതിയും തേജസ്വിനിയും ആയ സാദ്ധ്വി; വ്രതധാരിണി, നിയമനിഷ്ഠ, ബ്രഹ്മചര്യത്തിൽ സ്ഥിര.”
