इस प्रकार महाबली शक्तिशाली वीर कार्तिकेयने समरांगणमें अनेक आततायी देवद्रोहियोंका संहार कर डाला ।।

Transliteration

bāṇo nāmātha daiteyo baleḥ putro mahābalaḥ | krauñca-parvatam āśritya deva-saṅghān abādhata ||

Translation

വൈശമ്പായനൻ പറഞ്ഞു— ബാണൻ എന്നൊരു ദൈത്യൻ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; മഹാബലി ബലിയുടെ മഹാപരാക്രമശാലിയായ പുത്രൻ. ക്രൗഞ്ചപർവതത്തെ ആശ്രയിച്ച് അവൻ ദേവസംഘങ്ങളെ നിരന്തരം ഉപദ്രവിച്ചു.
