कार्त्तिकेयाभिषेकः — Consecration of Kārttikeya and the Enumeration of His Retinue
श्वाविच्छधल्यकगोधानामजैडकगवां तथा । सदृशानि वपुंष्यन्ते तत्र तत्र व्यधारयन्
śvāvichchadhalyakagodhānāmajaiḍakagavāṃ tathā | sadṛśāni vapuṃṣyante tatra tatra vyadhārayan ||
വൈശമ്പായനൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ആ യുദ്ധഭൂമിയിൽ അവർ ഇവിടെ അവിടെ മുള്ളൻപന്നി, കുറുക്കൻ, ഉടുമ്പ്, ആട്, ചെമ്മരി, പശു എന്നിവയെപ്പോലെ തോന്നുന്ന ദേഹങ്ങൾ വെച്ചുപരത്തി; യുദ്ധത്തിലെ ഈ മായ—രൂപവഞ്ചന—ശത്രുവിനെ ഭ്രമിപ്പിച്ച് തെറ്റുവഴിയാക്കാനുള്ള കുതന്ത്രം തന്നെയായിരുന്നു.
