मांसैरभिजुहावेष्टिमक्षीयन्त ततो<$सुरा: । दैवतैरपि सम्भग्ना जितकाशिभिराहवे

Transliteration

Vaiśampāyana uvāca: māṃsair abhijuhāveṣṭim akṣīyanta tato 'surāḥ | daivatair api sambhagnā jitakāśibhir āhave, mahārāja |

Translation

മാംസഹോമത്തോടുകൂടിയ ആഭിചാരിക കർമത്തിന്റെ ഫലമായി അപ്പോൾ അസുരന്മാർ ക്ഷയിക്കുവാൻ തുടങ്ങി. യുദ്ധവിജയത്തിൽ ദീപ്തരായ ദേവന്മാർ അവരെ തകർത്തു പരാജയപ്പെടുത്തി ഓടിച്ചു വിട്ടു.
